Angka kematian itu termasuk 2,913 kanak-kanak, 1,709 wanita dan 397 warga emas.
Jumlah korban rakyat Palestin akibat serangan tentera Israel di Gaza meningkat kepada 7,028 manakala 18,484 lagi cedera.
Jurucakap kementerian Ashraf al-Qedra pada sidang media berkata angka kematian akibat pencerobohan Israel di Semenanjung Gaza mencecah 7,028 orang, termasuk 2,913 kanak-kanak, 1,709 wanita dan 397 warga emas.Beliau berkata tentera penceroboh Israel melakukan 43 pembunuhan beramai-ramai dalam tempoh 24 jam lepas, mengorbankan 481 orang, sebahagian besar mangsa terdiri mereka yang berpindah ke selatan Semenanjung Gaza yang didakwa selamat oleh Israel.
Selain itu, sebanyak 57 kemudahan penjagaan kesihatan turut menjadi sasaran, menyebabkan 12 hospital dan 32 pusat penjagaan tidak dapat beroperasi selain mengorbankan 101 pegawai perubatan.
