The protagonist of Michael Cusack’s skittishly entertaining series, Kevin , is a middle-class slob in the familiar ilk of Peter in Family Guy or Homer Simpson. As these things often go, he has a supportive longsuffering wife, Vicky , forever playing second fiddle to her outrageous husband.

Severe damage to ‘critical infrastructure’ has affected heavy vehicle operatorsNational Heavy Vehicle Regulator spokesman Steven Miller says there’s been “a lot of damage to critical infrastructure” from the recent flooding in Western Australia. “Very, very challenging for our long-haul heavy freight operators, and we’ve been doing what we can by putting temporary emergency routes in place to assist them,” he told Sky News Australia. The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has also given notice until the 28th of February for heavy vehicle operators to use different routes to reach flood-affected areas to deliver critical supplies. “The temporary notice allows us to operate larger than normal road trains out of Western Australia and through South Australia up into the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia where these critical goods are needed for these impacted communities,” Mr Miller said.
