SA Police said patrols were called to the corner of King William Street and Rundle Mall just after 10:30am following reports a man was armed with a knife. Police said they found the man on King William Street and told him to drop the knife, but he refused to comply. Officers tasered the Seaview Downs man, 34, to "safely disarm" him so he could be arrested, police said.
The man was charged with aggravated affray and carrying an offensive weapon, and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for a mental health assessment.
