NRL: Brad Arthur joined NRL 360 to discuss his long career with the Parramatta Eels and the sacking that rocked the NRL world.
Sacked Eels coach Brad Arthur has admitted that he “knew probably what was coming” when he got the phone call from club powerbrokers on Monday afternoon asking him to head in for a meeting.

I knew probably what was coming and I was disappointed because it’s all I know,” he said.“I was up at 4am this morning doing laps of the house getting ready to go to work. It’s just part of my life but now a new chapter will start for me.
“I think we really focused on enjoying the week and I’m sure that was probably our downfall,” Arthur conceded. Graham, again drawing on his own experiences, asked Arthur if he and the squad were guilty of thinking they had achieved something just by reaching the grand final.“I had some good advice around me too with people warning me of that. Craig rang me to talk to me about it, Mick Ennis talked to me about it.
“I’m really excited for what’s next for me. I feel fresh and I’m ready to go — I know it’s only 24 hours later — but I feel like I’m ready for the next adventure in my life.”
