KLANG: Police have crippled a break-in gang with the arrest of five men here.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said a hardware shop owner lodged a report about a break-in on March 26.
"He said CCTV footage from the shop showed four men breaking in through a side door at around 4am that day.He said an investigation paper was opened and police conducted a series of raids on March 30 around Jalan Kapar, Taman Sentosa and Tamam Selatan here and arrested five suspects aged between 37 and 44.
"Based on our investigations these suspects were involved in at least nine cases in South Klang, four cases in North Klang and one case in Shah Alam," he said, adding that the gang is believed to have been active since January.
