They included using a vessel in fishing for lobster, a species referred to in the Atlantic Fisheries Regulations, contrary to Atlantic Fisheries Regulations; possessing fish, lobster, caught in contravention of the Atlantic Fisheries Regulations; and setting, operating, or leaving unattended in the water any fishing gear other than mobile gear or handlines, unless the gear is marked with the name of the person who owns the gear contrary to the Fishery Regulations.
Inkpen was fined $2,000 for refusing a demand to provide samples of his breath for analysis. The court imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him, to be served concurrently.Failed to attend court, probation offences On Sept. 8, Judge Christopher Manning sentenced Fleet to 12 months of probation on the two counts of failing to attend court as directed and for failing to comply with probation by failing to report to and be under the supervision of a probation officer.
The offence occurred between Aug. 1, 2021, and Dec. 21, 2021, in Kentville. Hawkesworth pled guilty to the charge on July 27 and was sentenced Sept. 14 in Kentville provincial court.Mackenzie Daniel Walker, 24, of Halifax, formerly of Ellershouse, has had his conditional sentence terminated and will spend the remaining time in custody.
