The brand is looking to expand its portfolio further with the addition of the Kia Syros , a subcompact crossover recently unveiled in India . Initially designed for the India n market, Kia has confirmed that the Syros will be a global model, with plans to launch it in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East regions, including the Philippines .

The Kia Syros's dimensions place it slightly under the Sonet, measuring 3,995mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,665mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,550mm. Its boxy and upright exterior styling is a standout feature, with unique details like corner-mounted headlights, raised windows, and L-shaped vertical tail lights. The interior boasts a spacious dashboard with dual 12.3-inch displays, a convenient shelf, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and over-the-air updates. Higher trims offer additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, and advanced driver assistance systems like adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.The Syros differentiates itself in the segment with features like ventilated front and rear seats and a sliding second-row bench. However, it's not an electric vehicle. Instead, it offers two engine options: a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine producing 120hp and 172Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine generating 116hp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual (for both engines), a seven-speed dual-clutch (1.0 turbo), and a six-speed automatic (1.5 turbodiesel). While pricing is yet to be confirmed for the Philippine market, estimates in India range from 970,000 rupees (9 lakhs) to 1,650,000 rupees (16.5 lakhs), translating to approximately P680,000 to P1,112,000.
