PUCHONG: Kerajaan memperkenalkan beras putih Malaysia Madani yang akan dijual dengan harga RM30 bagi kampit 10 kilogram bermula 19 Februari ini.
Pengerusi Majlis Tindakan Sara Hidup , Datuk Seri Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal berkata, dengan nama baharu itu kategori beras putih tempatan dan beras putih import dimansuhkan. Serentak itu, katanya, kerajaan turut menetapkan harga siling bagi beras putih pada kadar RM30 bagi kampit 10 kg manakala RM15.50 dan RM3.50 , berkuat kuasa Isnin ini.
“Pengguna boleh mendapatkan bekalan beras putih berharga RM30/kampit di pasaran mulai 1 Mac. Tempoh 19 Feb hingga 1 Mac berikutan mengambil masa untuk dijual di pasaran,” katanya dalam sidang akhbar di sini hari ini. Kata Ahli Parlimen Bukit Gantang itu,cadangan dikemukakan kepada Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dan dipersetujui untuk dilaksanakan.
