Ken Block's iconic 1977 Ford F-150 'Hoonitruck' will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale.

One of the late Ken Block ’s most iconic vehicles, the Hoonitruck, is headed for auction. Ken Block ’s 1977 Ford F-150 ‘Hoonitruck’ is Lot number 1365 at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Auction that will be held in Scottsdale from January 18-26, 2025. The vehicle is based on a 1977 Ford F-150 pickup. However, the shell may be the only thing that’s original. The vehicle is powered by a 914-hp twin turbo 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost V6 engine.

It’s then sent to a sequential racing transmission that drives all the wheels via a custom all-wheel drive system. Its Toyo drift tires are mounted on custom beadlock wheels. Those familiar with the will remember its two turbos peek out of the hood. In addition, it also boasts of a bespoke, 3D-printed intake manifold made by Ford Performance. Ken chose this particular F-150 because it was the model he learned to drive in. The vehicle was built by Ken Block in collaboration with Detroit Speed. The build took about two years. Once completed, the vehicle joined Ken Block’s enviable stable of vehicles which included a classic Mustang ‘Hoonicorn’ also given a similar slammed and boosted treatment, a Ford Fiesta WRC car, a Ford Escort Cossworth Group A rally car, and Ford RS200 Group B rally car. As part of Ken’s stable, the vehicle also featured prominently in Ken Block’s famous Gymkhana videos, most notably, Gymkhana 10 and Climbkhana 2. These videos garnered some 30-million views. It is hoped that the Hoonitruck will find a new home with an owner that will cherish the vehicle that has arguably become a celebrity in its own right
