PETALING JAYA: Kelantan, struggling at the bottom of the Super League, have hit their players where it hurts most - team owner Norizam Tukiman is withholding 50% of their salary due to their poor run of form.
There has been talk recently that the players have yet to receive their salaries for last month and one prominent agent revealed he had asked a lawyer to report the matter to the Football Association of Malaysia.
“Want me to show the main KPI? Want your full salary? Can. Win the next two matches, and the 50% held will be given to you,” he declared. The Red Warriors have lost eight times in the Super League, drawn once and won only once. They are next to last with four points in the 14-team league, ahead only of Kelantan United. There has also been talk that an east coast club, which many believe to be Kelantan, will be slapped with a transfer ban, though Norizam has dispelled that.
