Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site released its updated management plan, which outlines visions for protecting all elements of the park, ranging from climate change mitigation to species at risk, recovery and engaging and collaborating with Indigenous peoples. FileCALEDONIA, N.S. — Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site released its updated management plan, which outlines four key strategies based on Mi’kmaw worldview concepts.
The four key strategies introduced by the plan are Kepmite’tmek , Netukulu’ltiek , Msit Ki’kamunaq and Toqi’maliaptme’k . Input for the plan was gathered from sources, including the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia, stakeholders, visitors, local communities and organizations, the province of Nova Scotia and the public.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
