The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology released videos on Sunday showcasing the recent ash emission events of Negros Island's Kanlaon Volcano .The time-lapse footage captured ash emission s from the volcano's summit crater during the following intervals: 5:16 a.m. to 6:01 a.m., 6:20 a.m. to 6:56 a.m., 8:16 a.m. to 8:28 a.m., and 9:01 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.According to PHIVOLCS, the volcano experienced seven “discrete” ash emission events since Saturday.

“These events produced grayish plumes rising 100–200 meters above the crater before drifting westward, as recorded by IP cameras in Barangay Mansalanao, La Castellana, and the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory in Canlaon City,” the agency stated.Alert Level 3 remains in effect for Kanlaon Volcano, indicating magmatic unrest following its explosive eruption on December 9.
