When reviewing these documents, pamphlets and infographics — from large government-backed and funded organizations to small local and community organizations — one begins to recognize a disappointing pattern. There’s notable repetition and recycling of buzzwords and phrases, of stating goals with no mention whatsoever of a strategy by which to achieve these goals. Saying things like “our goals are to create opportunities for youth, employ an anti-poverty strategy and coordinate services.
This should go hand-in-hand with improved support for those organizations and services. With this in mind, it is difficult to say how we would go about achieving this, and it would obviously be no small task.Article content
