Since Friday, three separate objects have been shot out of the sky by the U.S. military, including one over Yukon.
OTTAWA—A pattern of unmanned aircraft being discovered and shot down over North American airspace is a “a very serious situation” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday as concern and speculation continues to build around the source and purpose of the crafts.
He deflected criticisms that the fact it was the U.S. military which fired the missile on Saturday, and not Canadian pilots, given the craft was in Canadian airspace. The other three were flying lower than the Chinese craft, and while the U.S. knew who owned the Chinese balloon, they don’t know who owns the other three. No one has claimed responsibility so far.
