Sky News host Andrew Bolt discusses the “genius” of Rupert Murdoch and his incredible achievements in journalism. Mr Bolt’s comments come as Mr Murdoch announces he is stepping away as Chair of News Corp and Fox Corp. “He actually picked the segments of the market that people weren’t catering to in the media business and that is conservative parts,” Mr Bolt told Sky News Australia. Mr Bolt said the two “biggest” business decisions Mr Murdoch made were his purchase of The Sun newspaper in London and the creation of the Fox News network in the US. “It got him a lot of enemies in the left, but I think, actually establishes the fact that he has always been anti-establishment, anti-elites and for the little guy.”
