Actor Sam Neill has apologised to his fans, claiming a comment he made about his cancer diagnosis was “taken out of context”. The 76-year-old New Zealand actor, who is battling stage three blood cancer, left Australians reeling when he told Australian Story that he is “prepared” for when the anti-cancer drug he is on stops working.
Sam Neill assures followers ‘all is well’ and in remission. Neill has angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, and after his body failed to respond to chemotherapy, he was administered a new anti-cancer drug which has led to him being in remission for more than 12 months. But speaking to Australian Story, Neill said he was “prepared for” the experimental drug to stop working.
