Joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, PDEA 4A-Quezon, and Lucena City Police Intelligence Unit arrested a drug trader and confiscated P3.6 million worth of alleged dried marijuana leaves right in his home in Lucena City.
QUEZON – Joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit , PDEA 4A-Quezon, and Lucena City Police Intelligence Unit arrested a drug trader and confiscated P3.6 million worth of alleged dried marijuana leaves right in his home in Lucena City.
Quezon Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Col. Joel Villanueva identified the suspect as Jero Salmbot Gantakao alias Pacho, 28, a resident of Purok Pagkakaisa, Jael Subdivision Barangay, Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City. Police found nine bricks of marijuana, several plastic sachets containing dried marijuana, and boodle money during a buy-bust operation at the suspect’s house.
Villanueva said the estimated weight of the hot item was 10 kilos with a street value of about P3.6 million. The suspect is now facing charges in violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II ng RA 9165, according to Villanueva.
