ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has proposed setting up a climate change and flood management committee.
Onn Hafiz said at the state assembly meeting here on Sunday that the planned committee will include assemblymen from all political parties. “I would like to express my gratitude to Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar for reminding Johoreans to practise environment-friendly habits, maintain cleanliness, and reduce pollution."The Sultan’s reminders are in line with the state government’s mission to look for more effective measures to address climate change.The Mentri Besar said the state government will bring up a motion for the committee's formation during the ongoing sitting.
