On Sunday, Iskandar Puteri police chief ACP M Kumarasan asked for the public’s help in locating Albertine Leo who was reported missing by her father at a shopping mall at about 8.30pm on Saturday. Kumarasan described the child as 120 centimetres tall, with long black hair, fair skin and a slim build, and who was wearing shorts and a white T-shirt with a ‘Mickey Mouse’ print on the front.
Johor Police Chief M. Kumar said in a press conference this morning that she was found safe, and a male suspect aged 31 that was found at the scene was also arrested.“The arrest was made around 4am. The victim is safe,” he told a press conference that was live-streamed.Earlier, Johor police said they have reclassified the case as kidnapping.
Kumar updated today that two men and two women in their 40s have been arrested in Iskandar Puteri to assist in the investigation.Remands have been applied for the first four suspects. Kumar also praised the media for their patience over the case, but reminded the public to be more responsible after the parents received false information about the girl before today.
