JOHOR BARU: The Let’s Recycle Glass Bottles contest is expected to become an annual programme by SWM Environment Sdn Bhd, after participants managed to collect 24 tonnes of glass bottles this year.

The concessionaire’s corporate general manager Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin said the programme started back in September last year and ended in January.

"We hope that we would be able to continue this programme this year and increase the target to between 25 and 30 tonnes," he said when met by reporters after the contest closing ceremony at the Johor Tourism Information Centre, here, on Monday . Meanwhile, SJKC Chung Hwa principal Ong Chiew Ai said that her school will continue to organise the recycling programme even though the competition has ended.
