PASIR GUDANG, June 13 — The Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Service Department foiled an attempt to import about 740kg of buffalo meat worth RM 11,700 at the Pasir Gudang Port here yesterday.He said during an inspection Maqis officers found that the buffalo meat had their slaughter, manufacturing and expiry dates, including importer names, that were different from those stated on the halal certificate issued.

“Maqis officers recorded the statement of a local shipping agent, who is in his 30s, as part of our investigations before he was released,” said Edie Putra in a statement today.
