John Gruden is the new head coach of the Toronto Marlies.
Moore and assistants A.J. MacLean and John Snowden were let go in May after the Marlies were swept in the first round of the American Hockey League playoffs.The 53-year-old native of Virginia, Minn., served as an assistant coach with the Boston Bruins this past season.
Gruden previously worked as an assistant coach with the New York Islanders and as a head coach with the Ontario Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs and Flint Firebirds.
