US President Joe Biden has broken his silence on the unidentified flying objects that have been shot down across North America in recent days, saying he still does not know what they are but they do not appear to be part of a Chinese spy balloon program.
In the face of mounting pressure from both sides of politics, Biden made a previously unscheduled television address on Thursday to shed some light about what he knew about the objects and the suspected Chinese spy balloon that sparked their rapid take-down. “I want to be clear: we don’t have any evidence that there has been a sudden increase in number of objects in the sky. We’re now just seeing more of them partially because the steps we’ve taken ,” he said.
Concerns about America’s national security erupted earlier this month when a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon was allowed to float across the continent for days, traversing sensitive military sites along the way, before it was finally shot down off the coast of South Carolina.

The bar is ‘so low’ with Joe Biden: Dave RubinHalf of Joe Biden's State of the Union address was “Trump retread,” and the other half was “kind of woke nonsense”, says The Rubin Report host Dave Rubin. “I would like to congratulate Joe Biden for that hour and a half when they drugged him properly, and he was able to do that,” Mr Rubin told Sky News host Paul Murray. “The bar is so low with him that that, in essence, is all he has to do – it doesn’t matter what he said. “If the best we can do is roll out an 81-year-old, and we’re excited because he didn’t pass out, well, alright.”

ASIO ‘knew’ Chinese cameras were a ‘cyber-security’ threat to AustraliaSky News host Sharri Markson says the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation “knew” the Chinese cameras were a “cyber security” threat to Australia. “It is shocking because we know – ASIO is our top spy agency, ASIO did not have these cameras in their offices, they weren’t in the home-affairs department, they knew that they’re a cyber security threat,” Ms Markson told Sky News host Paul Murray. “They’re a cyber-security threat for two reasons, one is Chinese companies have to abide by the Chinese national security law, so if the government demands they hand over data they have to do it. “Secondly, because they can act as surveillance operations.”
