US President Joe Biden has joined an auto workers union picket line. Reportedly, it is the first time a sitting American president has joined a strike. It is believed around 13,000 auto workers walked off the job over a number of different concerns, including a 40 per cent pay rise. Mr Biden spoke to the union, saying “you guys … saved the automobile industry back in 2008”. “Companies were in trouble but now they’re doing incredibly well. “And guess what? You should be doing incredibly well too.”
