The 43-year-old, who is a fan of F1, was invited to hand out plaques to the top three placing drivers, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Sergio Perez. As the singer took the stage, the commentator was heard saying: “This young guy is a lucky audience member picked from a crowd of racing fans to present the awards.”
Netizens who caught the live stream couldn’t help but cringe at the situation. For starters, he referred to JJ as “this young guy”.JJ, on the other hand, was unfazed by the whole situation. The singer remained in a cheery mood, taking to social media to share snaps from the weekend., fulfilling his dreams with today’s historical first race in China! Happy to be witnessing this with so many race friends!”The event was cancelled from 2020 to 2023 due to the pandemic.
