Jasper Pittard has moved to tackling climate change since retiring from the AFL — and has his own eco-friendly home dreams

). I’ve loved my time there; it’s quiet just back from Lygon St but still close to all the action and the city. The house itself gets a lot of really great sunlight, whenever the sun’s out its nice to spend time in the mezzanine space or the lounge room.

My favourite part is probably the mezzanine. I had an office set up there which was really nice to work from home in and get all that natural light, sitting up there and playing records and all that sort of thing as well.I’d love to have a fully off-grid home in country Victoria somewhere, near the Otways would be nice.

I like minimalist-styled homes with smart and practical design elements, like something you’d see on a Never Too Small episode. I’d like to help design something that utilises light and the country weather elements, and being on some land would be great, with views of some rolling hills. I love living in Melbourne, though, so I see this off-grid haven as a weekend getaway option throughout the year.to get the latest Victorian property market news delivered direct to your inbox.
