At the time of writing , more food premises in Malaysia are doing their best to obtain the Halal certificates from JAKIM. Here’s what you MIGHT not be aware of.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs, Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, said this figure was recorded from 9,520 companies registered as holders of the Malaysian Halal Certification as of 10 November. As for Bumiputera holders, it involves 3,803 companies, accounting for 40%. The remaining three percent are foreign-owned SPHM holders.
