Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Kedah berkata panduan berhubung laungan takbir di negeri itu hanya bertujuan memastikan ia tidak dipolitikkan oleh sesiapa.

Pengarah JHEIK Abd Ghani @ Zulkifli Zainuddin berkata laungan takbir tetap dibenarkan untuk tujuan ibadat. Terdahulu, sebuah laman media sosial memuat naik surat Pejabat Agama Daerah Kulim kepada sebuah masjid berhubung tidak melaksanakan perkara yang dianggap mempunyai unsur politik, susulan aduan mengenai laungan takbir selepas zikir dan doa solat berjemaah.
