BTS member J-Hope shared his thoughts on 2024, a year marked by both challenges and triumphs, as he looks forward to a significant 2025.
J-Hope recently made headlines for donating 100 million won ($75,000) to the families of the victims of the Dec. 29 Jeju Air plane crash, which claimed 179 lives. BTS member J-Hope shared a New Year message on the fan platform Weverse on Sunday, reflecting on his emotional 2024 and expressing excitement for the year ahead. “For me, 2024 was a year filled with a mix of emotions and countless feelings coming and going,” he said.
“I felt happy as the year of my discharge approached, then overwhelmed at the thought of enduring until October. When the time finally came, I was excited, but I also felt anxious about plans after my discharge. Once discharged, an indescribable joy took over, and as I wrapped up the year, I found myself both tense and thrilled for 2025.” J-Hope completed his military service last October, becoming the second BTS member to do so after Jin, who was discharged in June. The remaining five members — RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook and Suga — are set to be either discharged or released from service by June this year. “Everyone may have experienced their own joys and sorrows this past year, but I hope we can take a moment to reflect warmly on 2024,' J-Hope said.'For 2025, I wish for everyone to bloom beautifully. For me, it feels like 2025 will be a very important year, something I can sense deeply in nature. I will show you many things.” J-Hope recently made headlines for donating 100 million won ($75,000) to the families of the victims of the Dec. 29 Jeju Air plane crash, which claimed 179 lives. “After hearing about the tragic accident, I decided to donate to help the bereaved families, even if just a little,' he said.'I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families and everyone affected by this tragedy.
