It was an ordinary workday for Keni Vukici, until he came across a major crash and helped save a man’s life by pulling him from a burning vehicle.
He ran towards the wreckage of a smoking upside-down car and helped drag the driver away before the vehicle exploded, but former bodyguard Keni Vukici insists his actions were “nothing special”.
“At that point, the SUV had caught alight, so we helped move the driver – who was semi-conscious at this point – slightly away from the car,” he said. “We actually had to hold him down at one point.Mr Vukici, a former bodyguard, said he went into “auto-pilot” mode.The SUV driver was treated for a suspected head injury before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
“There was a short scuffle which ensued and then the male who was asking about the Kluger got into the Kluger and drove it away and then headed towards the Harbour Bridge.”
