The WA Premier has offered the families of two detained Australians a glimmer of hope after high level talks with the Chinese foreign affairs minister.
Journalist Cheng Lei was detained for “supplying state secrets” in 2020 and writer Yang Hengjun has been held in custody since 2019 for espionage charges.
