And the potential importance of the South Australian vote is set to be laid bare this week, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese planning to use Adelaide as a launch pad for the referendumThe government's decision to announce the referendum date in SA reflects the state's perceived strategic importance.
"On this referendum, it's crucial that we get the vote out in South Australia, that the country looks to South Australia as a beacon for supporting sensible, liberal reform like the Voice," Mr Pearson said.
