Isuzu unveils a sharper‑styled D‑Max with new 18‑inch matte wheels, a 10‑inch infotainment screen, leather seats, ambient lighting and an HD surround‑view camera, while retaining its 3.0‑liter diesel engine delivering 183 hp and 450 Nm of torque.
The 2026 Philippine International Motor Show became the stage for the grand debut of the refreshed Isuzu D‑Max , a model that has been given a more aggressive look and a suite of upgrades aimed at improving both its appearance and its cabin comfort.
The exterior redesign centres on a sharper, more angular front fascia that features a newly shaped grille and titanium‑gray highlights incorporated into the LED headlamps. A revised fog‑lamp bezel adds a modern touch, while the side steps now carry pronounced ridged accents that enhance the vehicle's muscular stance. At the rear, the D‑Max receives updated clear combination lamps that give the tail end a contemporary feel.
Complementing the visual changes are new 18‑inch aluminium wheels finished in a matte dark‑gray metallic tone, which not only reinforce the truck's rugged character but also contribute to a lowered visual profile. The updated design language is intended to set the D‑Max apart in a crowded pickup market, signalling Isuzu's commitment to keeping the model fresh and competitive. Inside the cabin, the facelifted D‑Max benefits from a range of comfort‑focused enhancements.
A brand‑new 10‑inch infotainment screen replaces the previous unit, offering a redesigned user interface that simplifies navigation and media control. An HD surround‑view camera system has been integrated, featuring an under‑body perspective that proves particularly useful when maneuvering in tight parking spaces or tackling challenging off‑road terrain. The interior appointments have been upgraded with leather‑trimmed seats that provide a more premium feel, while ambient lighting adds a subtle, customizable glow to the cabin environment.
A wireless charging pad is now standard, allowing drivers to keep compatible devices powered without the clutter of cables. These additions aim to elevate the everyday driving experience, making the D‑Max a more appealing choice for both work and leisure. Mechanically, the refreshed D‑Max retains the proven 3.0‑liter 4JJ3‑TCX diesel powerplant, paired with a six‑speed automatic transmission.
The engine continues to deliver 183 horsepower and 450 newton‑metres of torque, figures that translate into strong pulling power and confident acceleration for a vehicle of its class. Thanks to a long‑gear ratio, the truck is capable of reaching an approximate fuel consumption of 20 kilometres per litre on highway journeys, positioning it as an efficient option for long‑distance travel.
The model will be on display for visitors at the Philippine International Motor Show from 4 to 7 June at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, where enthusiasts can explore the updated design, interior technology, and performance characteristics firsthand.
