Gardai are advising people buying Taylor Swift tickets online to always stop and consider if it could be a scam
Irish Taylor Swift fans have been issued a warning by gardai after a Limerick woman attempting to buy tickets to one of the singer's gigs in Dublin next month was duped out of hundreds of euro.
Last week, a woman in her late 20s from the Corbally saw that a woman was selling tickets to one of Swift's upcoming gigs on Facebook. Subsequently, the Facebook page in question was deleted and woman was unable to get in contact with the seller. Speaking to Limerick Live, Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer with Henry Street Garda Station, said: "There is such a huge demand for Taylor Swift concert tickets and the scammers know this.
