Bursa Malaysia Bhd CEO Muhamad Umar Swift expects the initial public offering momentum on the local bourse to continue for the remainder of the year, particularly for the ACE Market.
Among the ten listed companies in the first quarter of 2023, two were listed on the Main Market, one on the LEAP Market, and the remaining seven companies were listed on the ACE Market. “The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on numerous companies and industries throughout the country and region.
He said Bursa’s regulatory framework and ecosystem for the local capital market continued to offer a vibrant and supportive environment for issuers to fulfil companies’ capital-raising needs.
