The dot-com bubble was a speculative stock market bubble involving several internet companies in the late 1990s. After years of speculation and investment, the bubble burst in 2000, causing a sharp decline in internet stocks.“It’s only speculative. Obviously, that’s really dangerous. Investing in certain things, which is purely speculative, isn’t what, where I want to spend my time.”
As far as the web3 aspect of crypto is concerned, Tim Berners-Lee has his own version of a decentralized internet that gives people control over their personal data. However, his version is called “Web 3.0”, which, he argued, was different from web3 as we know it.
