AFR Senior Correspondent Aaron Patrick says it is too early to know if a recession will occur in Australia, but the recent interest rate hike is “not going to help at all” for businesses who are anxious to see where the economy is heading.
“If the economy goes into a significant downturn, they’re going to have to start firing
people and that’s going to add to the problem,” Mr Patrick told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
