Instagram’s answer to Twitter has gone live a day early with the new app Threads available to download with users already debating over which platform is superior.
Threads has been dubbed by some tech analysts as a “Twitter killer” while chief product officer of Meta, Chris Cox said last month there was a demand for a platform that was “sanely run”.
This triggered Musk to table a cage match with Zuckerberg, with the Meta CEO accepting the challenge. The Twitter chairman was slammed by Loftus Peak’s Chief Investment Officer Alex Pollak, for his handling of the platform, allowing rival Meta to find success with its new app."Zuckerberg has got the necessary infrastructure, and the connected users, and the balance sheet to be able to launch a competitive product in the name of Threads."
Another app called Threads, which describes itself as “replacing Slack for the modern teams of today” has been confused with the Instagram’s new product, having to add in its Twitter bio, “we have no affiliation with Meta”.
