Angela’s thoughts on her writing were given while speaking to then Truro News multi-media reporter Chelsey Gould who was the first to do a story on the book in July of 2022. By the time the book launched in mid-September, it and Angela’s journey had been well documented by local, provincial and national media.
“What Angie has taught me is that until we free ourselves, we will never be free,” Dorrington-Skinner added. “You’ve opened so many people’s eyes, you’ve touched so many people’s lives and you did it with dignity. You did it with your family. You did it for your girls. You did it for you.”
