PAUL FARRELL: Liam McGibbin is now a defence lawyer, but he used to work in a proactive crime team in Sydney’s Kings Cross. To deprive someone, even temporarily of their liberty by virtue of ordinary or frisk search, is a very serious thing. They said they didn’t have grounds to stop and search him, but things escalated when one of the officers grabbed him.
