Whalen said the trap that was attached to Bobby’s paw was one that can be legally purchased and is often used to catch smaller animals such as raccoons or skunks. Alberta Fish and Wildlife said in a statment they first received calls regarding a bobcat with a trap on its leg on Dec. 29. At that time, the animal was first seen under a deck in the community of Sundance and the responding wildlife officer was unable to find it. A live trap was set while Alberta Fish and Wildlife monitored the situation.Article content
