Constance Manitowabi will speak following a screening of a There's Something in the Water

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library has announced that a guest speaker will be a part of the Earth Day screening of There's Something in the Water this weekend.

Constance Manitowabi, Waabshke Mukwa, Anishinaabekwe from Wikwemikong First Nation will speak after the screening, which is on April 22 at 2 p.m. Manitowabi is a member of Bawaating Anishinabekwewok and will speak about water from an Indigenous perspective and about its importance to Anishinaabek people.

The documentary focuses on the history of environmental racism in Canada and specifically looks at three Nova Scotia communities where water sources have been polluted by industry.
