Sky News Australia called the failure of the Voice to Parliament referendum after projecting the majority of states to vote No. “While there has been talk in recent times about division, let us now cooperate to address the real division, the real division is one of disadvantage,” he said during a press conference on Saturday.
“The division that is the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in life expectancy, in educational opportunity, in rates of suicide and disease. “I supported recognition through a Voice because this was the vehicle that Indigenous Australians believed could change, this was the change they asked for at the First Nations Constitutional Convention at Uluru 2017.”
