Independent candidate for North Sydney Kylea Tink says the people of North Sydney are tired of a two-party political system that “doesn’t enable us to move forward in the long term”.

“I do respect both of the people standing to my right and I have no doubt their hearts are in the right position, but fundamentally when these two people go to Canberra, they will toe their party’s line,” Ms Tink said.

“Trent has the right to cross the floor, which he has done once in seven years. Catherine doesn’t even have the right to cross the floor.
