“The UARB is an independent body. I’m surprised they thumbed their nose at Nova Scotians the way they did, to be honest,” Houston told reporters on Saturday. “If Nova Scotians have questions about their decision, I encourage them to reach out directly to them to speak about that.” Houston and the provincial Natural Resources and Renewables Department , had called for the board to set aside the settlement agreement, saying it was contrary to the purpose and intent of Bill 212.
“We’ll look at the decision, we’ll try to understand exactly what they’re saying and then we’ll go from there,” he said.
