The 2022 event happened on Saturday at the Millville Community Centre and it drew a large crowd of eager pumpkin lovers, growers and families. Free pumpkins were given to the children at the event, which has become a family favourite for many.
A giant pumpkin gets transported carefully to the scale for weigh-in. It takes three people to safely get the pumpkin to the scale — one to drive and two to guide the giant gourd. Well more than 100 people attended the Joe King Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off at the Millville Community Centre for more than just the pumpkins.
