Fee flow to Australian investment banks fell 10 per cent with established and upstart outfits jostling for top spots on the league tables.

UBS was the top fee earner for 2022 among Australian investment banks, as the local industry raked in $US3 billion to be down just 10 per cent on the prior year.

UBS was followed by debt market specialist ANZ Banking Group, with fees of $US139.5 million. The team Refinitiv and Dealogic both put UBS Australia, led by Anthony Sweetman and Nick Hughes, on top of the investment banking fee league table for 2022.Dealogic puts UBS Australia’s fee revenue $20 million higher at $US196 million, and gives Barclays/Barrenjoey the fifth spot with $US102 million.
