Impeachment Filers Urge Congress to Act on Duterte Complaints within Year

A coalition of lawmakers and activists who filed impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte called on Congress to expedite the process and either impeach or remove her from office within the year. The complaints, which have yet to be formally referred to the Speaker, demand swift action before the end of the current legislative session in February 2024.
