TAWAU: A paperless man’s attempt to smuggle 500.53 grammes of syabu hidden in a pink thermos flask failed after being apprehended by police on March 29.
The 29-year-old was arrested at 3.30pm and was believed to be travelling to Indonesia via the Old CIQ Jetty. Tawau District Police Chief CP Jasmin Hussin said the unemployed man claimed he was promised money once the goods arrived.
