After Canadian team captain Shane Wright scored the first goal of the game, the familiar notes of The Fables’ seminal track"Heave Away" exploded from the arena’s speakers.“It’s been mind-blowing for me just seeing how much that song just keeps going,” said Fables’ drummer David Fitzpatrick. “It's gone all over the world, but it's quite an honour for the team to pick it as their goal song.

When Fitzpatrick heard the song had debuted as the goal song, he took to social media to give his thanks for the selection.
